I stand corrected. ;-)

I was doing 1.4.3. builds on the Quadra 840AV over NFS from an
AMD-K6/380Mhz which is also my main desktop (ipfilter, X). The build
goes from ~36 hours over local to ~24. I stopped doing it because of
the alarming errors I see when the time on the Quadra gets way out of
sync (mostly with packages, though -- it's not really a problem with
"make build"). Now I use a local object partition mounted async, and
the whole build takes about ~28 hours. (Sources still over NFS.)
