Re: New rust, new LLVM, new gcc?

I'll have to admit that I'm beginning to suspect other sources of
the problems I have been seeing. I have been doing the build
attempts on a dual-CPU 1.25GHz macppc equipped with 2GB DRAM. I
have since spun up a separate build attempt on a single-CPU
1.25GHz macppc Mac Mini, and even though it runs an older
10.0_BETA system and uses gcc 10.4.0, it has at least managed to
build the internal LLVM inside rust 1.83.0 without crashing or
the other problems I have been seeing on that dual-CPU system.
So I am beginning to suspect that I either have a case of shoddy
DRAM (how to isolate / diagnose?) or that there are remaining
undiagnosed MP-related bugs which reveal themselves when I push
the dual-CPU system.

That of course doesn't mean that the powerpc gcc patches should
not be applied to the pkgsrc gcc variants, or ... even
upstreamed, if possible?

Best regards,

- Håvard
