IIRC, lint warnings are fatal for i386 build, but not for others.

Does disabling lint mean that we will stop providing
/usr/libdata/lint/* as part of the build?  If those are gone, may be
we want to drop lint completely?

That said, I think lint has outlived its usefulness.
