I'm planning to commit my changes for i386 and sparc this weekend so that
we can build a.out ld.so (for the a.out compat.)

I'm planningto do some cleanup of that code, and enable it for the other
a.out architectures some time after 1.5 has been branched (I'll
probably write a more detailed description of my work soon...)
