I think the CardBus behind cbb0 (which is "NOT USED because of
unconfigured interrupt") is counted in one case but not the other.
After I removed the CardBus adapter card, the ZNYX quad ethernet card
started working.

As for why cbb0 is "NOT USED because of unconfigured interrupt", that's
probably because of the lack of PCI interrupt fixup evidenced by
the message

  pci_intr_fixup: no compatible PCI ICU found
