i dont know whether this is because of -current or because of the smp kernel code...

i have talked to many people running -current without the smp code and people running 1.5.2 and ive tested it on a 1.5.3_ALPHA box...

on my netbsd 1.5y-current box with the sommerfield i386 smp code...

if i type md5 &, it will lock the system...

on other systems it will put md5 into the background and then md5 will exit because no file was given...

i discovered this when i went to type md5 * and pressed & on accident...

it does it as root and as normal users... can anyone else be willing to verify this?

thanks
