Hello;

After reading about i386/smp for NetBSD, I decided to give it a try. I
read the instuctions at
(http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-smp/2001/09/26/0000.html) and installed
the latest 20010827-1.5X snapshot. I have the following Hardware specs for
testing:

Rioworks PDB-R SMP motherboard:
http://www.rioworks.com/products/pdb-r/pdb-r.htm
2 PII-333Mhz Procs
128MB RAM
10.2gig HD

After installing the 20010827-1.5X snapshot, I checked out the sources for
20010827 and installed the patch. At first I couldn't get past the config
program since it was looking for a file called "files.agp" (which I didn't
have). Later I was able to begin compiling the kernel. I got the following
error message about 8 mins later:

cc -x assembler-with-cpp -traditional-cpp -D_LOCORE -I. -I../../../../arch
-I../../../.. -nostdinc -DCRYPTO_MD_DES_ENC -DCRYPTO_MD_BF_ENC -DLKM
-DMAXUSERS=32 -D_KERNEL -D_KERNEL_OPT -Di386 -c
/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC.MP/../../../../arch/i386/i386/mptramp.s
/tmp/cca5mmdG.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/cca5mmdG.s:1499: Error: no such 386 instruction: `data32'
*** Error code 1

Stop.
make: stopped in /usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC.MP
rm -f /onetbsd

how do I get rid of this error message? I grabbed the latest -CURRENT code
and I'm still getting this error when compiling a kernel. I began to read
the /usr/src/UPDATING file and don't see anything relating to this error.
If anyone has any ideas on how to get rid of this error, please let me know.

Thanks
-Cosmic-665
