I tried a more-or-less -current GENERIC.MPDEBUG kernel on a Compaq
Proliant DL380 with dual PIII-733s.  It seems to work OK, but only actually
detects one processor.

Here's the boot messages, in case they're of interest.  I don't
actually need MP on these machines, but figured this might help
