Nobody expects you to recite it by heart. But it's not hard to grasp
the basic ontology of mdoc and a couple of syntactic conventions (like
parsed/callable macros) and look up necessary details as needed. But
people just copy-paste bad code around. It's like programming in C
w/out understanding what pointers are. No-one expects a C programmer
to be able to regurgitate back pages and pages of C99, but I think we
agree there are things sine qua non.
