Agreed, but there are cases when the package is not renamed, but there's
an upgrade path.

There already was a rar package, and the integration of emulation/binary
support means that rar-bin is gone and rar should be used instead.

The other case is gimp.  graphics/gimp went from 2.2.x to 2.4.x, and the
'gimp24' package which has 2.3.x is now obsolete, so people with that
should move to plain gimp.
