Hello,

starting now I am maintaining a Mercurial mirror of the pkgsrc repository at:

   http://hg.scode.org/mirror/pkgsrc

For those unfamiliar with Mercurial, reasons why one might want to use it 
include:

* "hg pull && hg update" completes in a matter of seconds instead of minutes 
or even hours for "cvs update". Should to do even on slow links aswell. 
Disregarding initial checkout of course.

* Anyone can trivially create private branches with a minimum of fuss.

For now the mirror is updated daily. It is kept in synch with cvs20hg 
(wip/cvs20hg).

Quickstart:

   * Install devel/mercurial
   * hg clone http://hg.scode.org/mirror/pkgsrc
   * followed by "hg pull && hg update" at any time to update the tree
