Hi,
I'd like to know why this change:
""""
revision 1.13
date: 2006/04/17 13:44:46; author: wiz; state: Exp; lines: +2 -2
Update to 1.2.9nb2 (hopefully final update for this weekend):
=2E add rpath to libpng-config output
=2E link against libpng12 (instead of libpng) in all cases.
The latter causes shlib dependency changes, so update
BUILDLINK_ABI_DEPENDS.png.
"""
of pkgsrc/graphics/png/buildlink3.mk was done.
Some random packages I built work just fine with the png-1.2.8
I have installed at the moment and I don't see particular reason
why all users whould be forced to reinstall virtually all X-using
apps.
If some individual package needs png-1.2.9, all is well but only
the individual package should be changed to set BUILDLINK_ABI_DEPENDS
appropriately.
Unless a compelling reason to stick with the current
BUILDLINK_ABI_DEPENDS.php is given, I'd back that change off and
set the BUILDLINK_ABI_DEPENDS.png back to 1.2.6nb2 on Thursday
April 27 2006.
Thanks,
Jaromir
