To add to the other reply, search for a tool to convert to
WindowMaker menus.

Have a look at http://www.windowmaker.org/projects-scripts.html -- but the 
descriptions are vague. Maybe have a look at the kde2wm, gnome2wm, and 
wmakermenu tools to find one that is generic. Maybe one will work for you 
now.

Also we need to add the desktop files to the packages. (Or add to pkgsrc a 
routine to create them for packages.)
