It happens both with xpdf-3.01pl1 and openmotif-2.1.30nb4 (pkgsrc-2005Q3)
and with xpdf-3.01pl1nb2 and openmotif-2.2.3 (pkgsrc-HEAD).  The crucial
difference may be xsrc/ vs xorg?
