Hi,

my attempt to update the shells/standalone-tcsh package from 6.13 to 
6.14 ended up in a catch-22 situation: Depending on the invocation, 
the pkg tools fail either claiming the package is installed, or 
claiming the package is not installed -- see pkg/32285 for details.

Since what I see here is not unlike the contradicting messages you 
get when you update pkgtools/pkg_install, it would seem to me that 
this corner of the pkgsrc install process lacks consistency and 
robustness.
