Hi all,

When trying to compile mencoder on the latest pkgsrc on OS X Tiger, I  
get a crash on mplayer-conf-17328-6260.o during the configure stage  
(it hangs at "Checking for pthread ...").  It has corrupted my  
pkgsrc .dmg drive to the point where I had to start from scratch;  
kill the .dmg, reformat, repopulate pkgsrc, &c.  This happened some  
time ago with sources from a month back or so, and most recently on a  
brand-new pkgsrc tonight.
