Could you please use a better commit message what changed, like:

  This release is a bugfix release only, and contains a number of
  important fixes for Mac OSX users. The changes from 2.2.8 to
  2.2.9 include, amongst others:

  # Fix crashes on startup experienced by some users (Mac OSX)
  # Optimize memory usage and fix memory leaks (Mac OSX)
  # Fix random page size changes when using more than one column
