Not nuked entirely, I'd say.  Instead, trim it down to give an overview
and get people started, then add a pointer to the official full-fledged
documentation.

I don't think it's wise to ship the OS with a package managment system
for which the documentation only exists online.  Manual pages are just
too dang useful.
