Can packages assume that OS_VERSION is strictly numeric? Should pkgsrc
enforce so?
On my Debian Linux system OS_VERSION is 2.4.27-2-586tsc.
This results in expressions like ${OS_VERSION} >= 5.0 to end in a
failure.
