Yes, that's true, but it's actually a superset of my request. To make the
packaging system properly track files, it is necessary to:
* install files by default, not requiring admin copying (the primary
technical part of my request), and
* track any configurable pathnames for those installed files so that
pkg_delete can find them without having to set the appropriate env vars a
second time.
