I'm trying to install lang/ruby18 on IRIX 5.3.

I end up like this:

...
installing io/wait
installing nkf
...
Cannot access /usr/local/pkg/lib/ruby/1.8/io/nonblock.rb: No such file
or directory
Cannot access /usr/local/pkg/lib/ruby/1.8/mips-irix5.3/io/wait.so: No
such file or directory

io/wait/nonblock.rb exists but does not get installed. wait.so does not
seem to be created.
ext/io/wait/Makefile looks like this:

...

all install: Makefile

clean:
                @$(RM) $(CLEANLIBS) $(CLEANOBJS) $(CLEANFILES)
...


bmake install in that directory does not do anything.
What is the situation like on other platforms?
Does anyone have an idea what is going wrong here?
