By the way, I have been using the following since March 13, 2003:
WRKOBJDIR=             /usr/pkg/tmp/pkgsrc

Maybe "/usr/pkg" in there is causing this. Maybe it is new wrapper
framework (although I am surpised I hadn't seen before now).
