Hello,

I'm trying to install an up-to-date Apache on an AIX 5.1 server, and I 
thought the best solution would be to install pkgsrc (pkgsrc helped me a 
lot on Solaris servers some time ago). After searching the Web and the 
tech-pkg archives, I found the following message (pkgsrc-bug #26730, 
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-bugs/2004/08/22/0000.html) which 
indicated that the bootstrap script seemed to fail on AIX 5.2.

As requested, here are my results under AIX 5.1 (the script also fails, 
although completely differently from 5.2). I got the same results with 
two different compilers (gcc 2.95 RPM from IBM, gcc 3.3m fro the AIXPDS 
librairy). Here are the messages :
