Sure, I grabbed the PR.

The fix should be scheduled, since it will thwack a sizable chunk of
packages' PKGREVISIONs.  I'd suggest that this should probably happen soon
after the 2004Q3 branch is created, to provide maximum shakeout time before
the 2004Q4 branch.
