Hi list,
I was playing around with pkgsrc's tcpdump / libpcap and I noticed
some weird things :
1. pkgsrc's tcpdump links over system's libpcap (it doesn't even check
pkgsrc's libpcap presence)
2. pkgsrc's libpcap only produces a libpcap.a
3. it's really outdated (0.7.2)
so, if nobody sees any offense here, I'd be glad to commit a new tcpdump /
libpcap package to WIP. If so, I'd like to have your opinion on a
UPDATE_INTREE_(PCAP|TCPDUMP) flags, so system pcap/tcpdump is updated by
pkgsrc ones.
Regards,
