The error I see is:

g++ -c -I/usr/pkg/include -I/usr/include -I/include -I/usr/include -O2 -I/usr/pkg/include -I/usr/include -Wall  -I/usr/include -Inbase -Insock/include  -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DNMAP_VERSION=\"3.55\" -DNMAP_NAME=\"nmap\" -DNMAP_URL=\"http://www.insecure.org/nmap/\" -DNMAP_PLATFORM=\"i386--netbsdelf\" -DNMAPDATADIR=\"/usr/pkg/share/nmap\" -I. nmap.cc -o nmap.o
nmap.cc: In function `int parse_scanflags(char*)':
nmap.cc:115: error: `strcasestr' undeclared (first use this function)
nmap.cc:115: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each
    function it appears in.)
    *** Error code 1

I seem to recall this is a c++ problem with gcc 3.3..
