Yesterday I managed to rescue the pdflib build by linking Files.h into 
work/.buildlink/include (as noted in my original post), and also linking 
its parent directory into work/.buildlink/include as CarbonCore. CarbonCore 
is the directory shown in #include statements in Files.h that were causing 
the next layer of problems. I'll look back in CVS and see what else I can 
sort out about this.

But then the build for gnuplot failed (as you note) and I haven't tracked 
that down yet, either. Will apply the 4.0.0 patches and go from there.
