Hi,

what's the point of including aalib as a dependency for SDL and mplayer?

I know, what it does; okay, as an experiment, aalib is pretty cool thing. In
reality I don't think it can be used to do anything useful (movies on aalib
look pretty cool if you have a large xterm window with a small font, but if
you can afford this, you can as well afford "normal" X11 or SDL graphics
driver).

Does anyone has ever found any use for aalib driver in mplayer or SDL or
some other program (except Gimp) ?

That's just ranting, anyway.
