Subject: gconf permission problems after mass pkg upgrade

After upgrading a machine to -current (1.6ZK, of 21 March), I
decided to use pkg_comp to rebuild all of my packages from scratch.
Apart from having to file a few PRs, it went pretty well. However,
Galeon didn't work properly. When I invoke it, there were no
control panels -- no menus, no icon controls, no smart bookmarks,
nothing except the tab for the open window.
I eventually figured out that the problem was gconf: the permissions
were set up improperly. Virtually nothing was readable except by
root. I don't know why this happened, so I'm not filing a PR, but
someone who understands more of such things may want to check it
out.
(Btw -- I really appreciate pkg_comp -- it was nice to fight all
the rebuild battles in a sandbox, rather than having to delete all
of my applications while it was running. One suggestion: it would
be nice to have a mode where it used the current /bin, /usr/bin,
etc., rather than needing the disk space for the binary/sets files.)
