Try rebuilding this pkg with USE_BUILTIN.gettext-lib set to "no" or "yes".

Of course, this will help only if ethereal is bl3 package.

The same issue you will hit many times on FreeBSD-4 with readline.

I think we need mk/defs.${OPSYS}.mk USE_BUILTIN settings done.
