Thanks for the hint. How do I best use it? pkgsrc/print/ghostscript-nox11 for
example uses vsnprintf.
Would it make sense to build a shared lib from libnbcompat? At least on my
system this does not seem to be ne automatically.

This still leaves open regex ad fnmatch. Any suggestions how to integrate
them?
