I have often had iconv problems.  I'm fuzzy on the details, but I
think that gettext-lib is often linked with iconv, but gettext-lib's
buildlink2.mk doesn't pull it in.

But your problem seems different.  You left out the link line for
wvSummary; did it omit -liconv?

Do you have gettext-lib installed?  If you can remove it and try again
you might win.
