Currently, the Makefile insists that dopewars depends on gnome1-dirs.
The version of dopewars that the Makefile builds is the one with the
curses client, so there is no need to depend on gnome1-dirs.

It might be true that the gui client depends on gnome1-dirs.  If
people want the gui client, then how about making another package for
it.  Call it dopewars-gui or some such and don't make the curses
client.
