Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm pretty sure it's not that.  I didn't
mention it, but I do run spamc in procmail as:
spamc -t 600

It gives up well before the ten minutes based on test messages I've sent to
myself (usually on the order of a few seconds).

Any other suggestions?  Too bad there's no good way to get more debugging
info out of it.
