I'm using dmalloc for a couple of projects on both solaris and
NetBSD... I've installed dmalloc ages ago and since then updated
it I think two times but I never had to touch things by hand.

On the other hand I was always on -current and surely never on
something as a 1.6 (except you count current as that of course).
