Anyone else seen this while building gmake recently?

for all the .c's.  Result is that no make.mo's are built/installed.

Thought it might be the sol7 machine I had problems with buildlink2 on
in previous email (which seems to be fixed now - got a feeling it was
$path issues) but the same happens on my known-working sol9 box.
