Hi,
As my first major foray into package making I thought I'd so do some work to get cyrus-sasl 2.1.7 going and more importantly cyrus imapd 2.1.8. (note that cyrus-imapd seems to be happy with minimal changes (one is actually a bug I found, the other I think we could submit and get pulled into the main cyrus code)
I think the packages are near complete, but I'd like to know if I've missed anything.
My TODO list is:
* try out PAM/gsapi stuff in sasl (currently commented out) not sure it's that critical...
* buildlink2 the sasl stuff.
I was wondering where I should put these packages in the pkgsrc, cyrus-sasl2 is probably sensible (note that I don't think 1 and 2 can live together without lots of work, so have to do some kind of conflict there?)
not sure about cyrus-imapd, maybe cyrus-imapd-2.1 ? or -current? (current it's cyrus-imapd-cur.)
I've uploaded the packages to:
http://www.paradox.demon.co.uk/pkgs/
If anyone has a spare email test server to actually try out this later version of cyrus I'd be grateful, my own testing so far has just been a localhost connection and a few folders, moving existing mail in and out. I plan to update my main mailserver this weekend to 2.1.8.
Thanks,
Chris
