G'day,
SDCC, a compiler/assembler/debugger/simulator, 8051 based MCU's,
was broken for some time now which prompted me to have a crack
at it. I've managed to build sdcc-2.2.1, but not without some
hacking around...
For some reasons, when enabling the GNU-CONFIGURE option, it will
cause the building process to break in its late stages due to a
segmentation fault.
Disabling this option and starting the configuration script through
do-configure: will succesfully built the package. It appears that the
only difference between these two mechanism is that it doesn't make use
--host=i386-netbsd option. At the moment I don't have any clue why
this is so. It's late now and it is time to move into the horizontal
posistion.
I would appreciate if someone more experiened with the internals of
the packing system could have a look and give some directions.
Hey, this is more difficult than the c-which program... ;-)
The pkgsrc can be found on

Any feedback is welcome..
Many thanks in advance
