This way lies RPM. Ever wondered why they need external pkg managers?
It's because their system can't match PROVIDES and REQUIRES properly, and
they use that piece of software for that. In contrast, the BSD pkg_* tools
deal *only* with pkg versions, which is IMHO much cleaner.
