Ummm: how about "it's a directory"?

Or, from packages(7):

     PKG_DBDIR
               Where package installation is recorded.  The default is
               /var/db/pkg.

If you mean, "what are the various files which make up the
administration details for an installed package?", I'd point you to
either the packages(7) manual page, or Packages.txt in the pkgsrc
distribution.

If you mean, "what values can PKG_DBDIR take?", then it's the name
of a directory.

In short, I'm not sure what you're asking.
