Is there any way to tell pkgsrc to staticly link a given package (at least
against pkgsrc libraries)? (Of course, one then also wants the
dependancies to be set appropriately...) Or, at least, to avoid (by some
means or other) upgrading virtually everything in pkgsrc in lockstep?

A related thread passed through here a ways back, but it seemed to focus
on binary packages. Did it actually get implemented? Or was it shelved
either due to uncertainty about the best approach, or perhaps pending the
end of the 1.5-related-freeze?
