Take a look at emulators/vice.

As does RASMOL (biology/rasmol). Perhaps we should use a common
variable for such packages (RASMOL has a RASMOL_DEPTH in
mk.conf.example). Or we could teach the authors X programming, if we
would know it ourselves ;-)
