  Thanks for the pointer!  Stock 1.3.5 can't handle -Wl, but I have
pulled up the relevant patches into our libtool-1.3.5nb1 package, and
everything works fine now!  I have committed USE_LIBTOOL/USE_PKGLIBTOOL
changes to pkgsrc.
