  Okay, what I'm going to do is to update libtool to 1.3.5 (applying the
necessary patches from the PRs).  USE_LIBTOOL will then depend on
libtool>=1.3.5, while USE_PKGLIBTOOL will still depend on the (now
deprecated) pkglibtool.
