FWIW, I've never had good luck getting cdrecord to map things=20
directly. I've always had to specify the device on the command=20
line. (or add CDR_DEVICE=3D/dev/cd0d to /etc/default/cdrecord)

# cdrecord -D /dev/cd0d -prcap
