G'day,

a new version of kdevelop-pkgsrc is available in my home directory on
cvs.netbsd.org. I've included the source tarball for kdevelop-2000310
and its companion document c_c++_reference. I would be very interested
in seeing the logfile from a first install as I've too many packages
installed here to be absolute certain that I haven't missed
something... ;-)

One remaining problem with this package which concerns flex.
The version used in NetBSD doesn't work correctly in producing a
valid kdevelop/kdevelop/classparser/tokenizer.c file. However,
flex-2.5.4a from the packages collection works just fine. This was
mentioned in one of my previous emails, but never received a
conclusive reply, nor have I understood why we haven't upgraded our
flex utility to fix this aparent bug.

To work around this, one could generate tokenizer.c using NetBSD's flex and
flex-2.5.4 and provide a diff as a patch file. This is somewhat
sub-optimal as I would rather like to see NetBSD's flex utility to be fixed.

Please have a look and provide me with feedback on any problems,
dislikes etc. so I can finalize this package ASAP. I've also the
official release of kdevelop-1.1, but I am hesitant in using this
version as the project-templates are not working. This was
fixed in kdevelop-current which is used here.

I am tossing up to provide c_c++_reference as a seperate
package, as I believe it to be very usefull even without kdevelop.
Any comments are welcome.

Another project waiting in the background is kdelibdocs, which generates the
documentation for the kde libraries. Again, this package can be used
independent of kdevelop. I will place it the pkgsrc onto my ftp-server
in the next couple of days.

I am looking forward to your reply

cheerio Berndt
