New Breed Software "GalaXa" update - January 7, 2000
GALAXA NO LONGER SUPPORTED
--------------------------
Hi - It's been nearly two years since any development was done on GalaXa.
Since then, I've learned a lot. (Namely, the awesome Simple DirectMedia
Layer libraries.)
Unfortunately, looking back, I see that GalaXa isn't exactly the greatest
game, especially compared to the new stuff coming out these days.
(Fortunately, I'm doing a lot nicer stuff, too. :) )
Anyway, I've decided that GalaXa is a dead project. I've removed the
link to it from the New Breed Software website (which, by the way, if
you hadn't noticed already, has moved from zippy.sonoma.edu/kendrick/
to www.newbreedsoftware.com).
However, just in case you wanted to look at the page again at some point,
the GalaXa page itself still exists:
http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/galaxa/
Thanks to all of you for your initial support. Since you obviously
liked GalaXa, you must really like the original arcade game, Galaga.
If you haven't checked them out already, why not try:
X-Galaga
http://www.rumsey.org/xgal.html (server might not be working)
X-Soldier
http://www.surfline.ne.jp/hachi/xsoldier.html
Also, check out some of my other New Breed Software games for Unix and
Linux:

Thanks and happy new year!
