the ispell package is apparently out of date.  it's currently
referencing a 3 1/2 year old release (3.1.20) when there's a more
recent version (3.2.01) available in a different directory on the same
machine.

i think it's still the same guy working on it, so i can't see why it's
in a different place.

(or maybe you just meant to use 3.1.20?)
