Changes to the Packages Collection in February 1999
===================================================

We made an addition to the top-level pkgsrc Makefile, so that by
specifying various *_SPECIFIC_PKGS definitions in /etc/mk.conf, only
specific packages will be used for the SUBDIR target.  pkg_delete has
now had a '-r' argument added to it - this deletes any pre-requisite
(DEPENDS) packages.  And thanks go to Rene Hexel for making gtk+-1.0
and gtk+-1.1 co-exist.

Notable additions to the packages collection include:  communicator
and navigator, more cross-compilation environments, delegate, nessus,
netname and trn.

Notable updates to packages include:  amanda (split into client and
server parts, with a meta-package to get them both), bash, clisp,
ethereal, fetchmail, imap-uw, jdk, kde (thanks, Matthias), lsof (NOTE
THE SECURITY ADVISORY ABOUT THIS PACKAGE), lyx, mutt, openldap, samba,
windowmaker, and xosview.
