Interesting. Perhaps the advent of anoncvs for pkgsrc would alleviate the 
problem? Other than that, there are no immediate plans to split up 
pkgsrc.tar.gz, and I'm not sure how beneficial it would be, but we'll 
certainly bear it in mind.
